Role: Designer + Producer
Our world is facing many environmental crises, water being one of the forefront issues. Particularly in the Midwest, agricultural irrigation rates take more from the Ogalla Aquifer than is being replenished. AgriForm Systems prototypes a speculative aquifer and subsurface irrigation system, in addition to the next generation of AI operated farm machinery and implements.&#38;nbsp;
Set in the rural Midwest during 2050 ater major agricultural reforms swept over the region a decade prior, the Ogalla Aquifer has reached critical low levels. AgriForm Systems is a specualtive future center around agriculture and aquifer irrigation management. Role: Graphic Designer


Responsible for creating a set of five supporting educational materials (four lesson plans and one guide) for Media Stamped TV, the show that aims to help students, ages 9-12, navigate their online world with media literacy. 
Adapted the lesson plans and guide developed by Kristen Friesen of UNL’s College of Education into show-compementary, student-friendly PDFs.

 Balanced brand materials and guidelines provided by Sinking Ship Entertainment and Global Citizen (producers of Media Stamped) 

with experimental layouts to 

 extend the visual language for 

 readability and engagement.

	Role: Graphic Designer
Worked closely with the Johnny Carson Endowed Director in Emerging Media Arts Megan Elliot, Director of Operations Megan McMasters, and faculty to create various graphics for the Johnny Carson Center for Emerging Media Arts.Developed a branding system for the end-of-semester events that included flags for different types of events, wayfinding signs, and event advertisements. 
Additionally, created banners and other class related graphics for the JCCEMA that follow UNL’s brand guidelines while still preserving JCCEMA’s unique identity.

What A World: A catalog of environment concept art pieces
Despite growing up on a farm, the environment was of little interest to me; however, as I’ve grown older and experienced more, it’s become something I hold dearly. My generation and those after will bear the burden of the mistreatment of the environment by previous generations. 
Water is only one part of what is not being properly preserved and conserved, and more attention needs to be brought to it. This catalog is a way to bring awareness to our water problems and what our future could look like through the use of environment concept art.In the process of designing this catalog, I leaned into worldbuilding methodologies to explore what a world might look like should we or should we not take care of it. The catalog explores those possibilities from a chronological order: the beginning depicts worlds lush with life and water transitioning over time to worlds barren and devoid of life.

The farm desired a rebranding that stood out amongst other local agricultural operations in a way that felt modern and refined.

	Roles: Writer, Co-Producer, Visual Design Lead, + Technical DeveloperDeveloped the main visual language for the piece, as well as the TouchDesigner system to interact with the background visuals. Supported the writing, experience design, and co-led the logistical aspects of the piece.
Quantum Theater: Extending Reality for Post-AI Liveness

Quantum Theater takes quantum science as subject and method for playable theater. Phenomena like entanglement, superposition, coherence, and collapse shape the performance in a post-AI exploration of liveness, variability, and improvisation. Multiple realities are layered on stage, where the audience as observer-participant plays an active role in cohering singular narratives.Showcased here is the visual portion of the performance that I created. The grid of 12 visuals represents 12 alternate universes, once of those 12 is selected as the “true” universe, the that universe is fractured into 4 alternate universes, then finally one of those variants is the final “true” universe.The changing of the universes is driven by a Geigar counter, and the visual noise and choosing of the “true” universes are determined by a series of quantum selections written to json files.

Quantum Theater debuted and playtested at SIGGRAPH 2025 Spatial Storytelling in Vancouver, Canada.

Cleaning the Stables is a participatory sound walk meets locative cinema experience. Herakles’ fifth labor, redirecting two rivers to flush the stables, echoes on as a bizarre cult legend. In headphones, participants explore a speculative future of geoengineering and management systems gone wrong.

Presented at Without Walls (WOW) Festival 2023, the La Jolla Playhouse.

	Roles: Writer, Co-Producer, Visual Design Lead, + Technical DeveloperDeveloped the main visual language for the piece including graphics, as well as edited all videos for the background visuals. Additionally wrote 3 sections of the piece and performed 2 of them. Supported the other section writing, audio editing, and co-led the logistical aspects of the piece.
Fluids, Flights, and Feathers: Codex Ex Machina is a live cinema–meets–radio theater event exploring our enduring fascination with flight—real, imagined, and remembered. Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci’s bird studies and speculative flying machines, the piece weaves together AI-generated storytelling, live sound, and spatial media to trace poetic connections between feathers and drones, migration and memory, nature and machine.

Created by artists Ash Eliza Smith and Robert Twomey and developed in collaboration with community participants from the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI at UNL), the performance invites the audience into an atmospheric, interactive world shaped by wind, motion, and the sounds of flight.

The project reflects on wind as media—both metaphor and material force. From the plains to the prairies, the wind has long carried stories: of freedom and destruction, of settler madness and multispecies kinship. It evokes da Vinci’s visionary designs and the atmospheric pressures of today’s climate anxieties, linking early innovation with contemporary questions of technology, ecology, and collective memory.


Workshop + Performance
This event dovetailed with a half day workshop on January 23rd with the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute, working through the fundamentals of co-creation with generative AI—with contents and performers participating in the evening performance.


Afternoon Workshop: A participatory session on co-creating with generative AI, led by Smith, Twomey, and their team, culminating in a collaboratively written radio play.Evening Performance: A live theater and sound experience performed with OLLI members, featuring excerpts from the PBS Leonardo da Vinci documentary and a conversation about the creative process.

The project features binaural and spatial audio, live visuals, and participatory storytelling. Future iterations may explore partnerships with bird experts such as Dai Shizuki and Tom Gannon (Birding While Indian) and mathmetician Adam Larios, integrating migration patterns , bird calls, and fluid dynamics to deepen the ecological entanglements.
